Guadalajara and San Luis Potosi: A Photo Diary

We left the West Coast of Mexico and headed inland…  We spent some time in Guadalajara and a bunch of time in the state of San Luis Potosi, where all the magic happened!

A picture is supposedly worth a thousand words, so I am going to skip the words and rely on the pictures. (Well, I will put some headlines in there so you know what the pictures are of. And lets be real, I have a hard time NOT using words.)

Guadalajara: Museums, Lucha Libre, and city sights.

San Luis Potosi – a magical state in Mexico

Media Luna – thermal springs

Puente de Dios – one of our favorite spots in Mexico so far!

Tamul Falls: Our waterproof camera was out of batteries, luckily our new friends came to the rescue and emailed us some pics!

Cuevas: On our way to see the Sotano de las Golondrinas we saw a sign for caves and decided to check it out!  The hike was grueling in the heat and humidity, but it was well worth it.

Las Pozas, Xilitla: A wildly imaginative sculpture garden in the jungle of Mexico, abandoned years ago and reopened by a nonprofit for public access.

Did I mention we had the opportunity to travel with the wonderful Nicole Breedlove for the duration of this experience?
